Click on empty map → opens AnnotationStyleDialog with defaults; on accept, pushes an AddAnnotationCommand to the canvas undo stack. Click on an existing annotation → opens the dialog seeded with that annotation's current style (in-place edit). Cancel leaves the layer untouched.
